I notice you're pretty desperate. You've posted this question several times. OK, honest opinion: It isn't really me. I don't find it very interesting and I wouldn't read it if it was in stores. However, it seems original. Keep writing it, because it seems like you enjoy writing and quite frankly it doesn't matter whether other people like it or not. How long is too soon to follow up to an interview (hospital)?

No matter how comfortable and good you feel about the interview, it is always a good idea to follow up within a week of an interview to simply express your continued interest in the position and inquire if a final decision is made. 5 business days is typically the rule of thumb that I use for myself. I had a second interview for a position last week, even though I sent thank you notes, I intend to follow up via email on the fifth business day to inquire if a decision will be made and to express my continued interest. In today's job market, it is extremely competitive and there are a high volume of applicants applying for positions. The delay may simply be that they have had several interviews scheduled since you went in, by following up you are also effectively staying relevant and have an opportunity to remind them why you are the better candidate.

Teflon coating on George Foreman?

I have a George Foreman Grill with Teflon coating on the top and bottom heat surfaces (black coating), but after cleaning the grill with a bristle cleaner, the coating has flaked off, in relatively small amounts (exposed lines here and there where you can see the underlying metal). Is this a potential health risk, now that some of the grills inner metal has been exposed? Will it still grill things properly? And is there a "teflon-spray" that I can buy to replace the surface, without forking out for another George Foreman? Any help is much appreciated, as I have little to no knowledge about this sort of thing! Thanks =)

Which dog breed is best for me and my lifestyle?

Corgi's are medium to high energy but not hyper. As long as you give them 2-3 walks per day as well as a little mental stimulation, their pretty calm. They only usually bark when their supposed to so that's usually not a problem. They do however shed like crazy. They blow their coat 2x a year then shed pretty heavily all year long. ANY double coated dog sheds a lot. Not sure about the springer or the shiba but if you don't want to deal with any shedding, don't get a corgi.

HELP WITH BP MONITOR?

alright soo, i was at the doctors today and the nurse said my blood pressure was pretty high. & this is the second appointment that it has been higher than usual. i think it is probably because i totallly spazz out when i am at the doctors, but anyways... i explained that to my doctor and she didnt really seem too interested in what i was saying and said that i have to be sent to a doctor that specializes in blood pressure etc. so i was arguing with her that i know i dont have high blood pressure. so she said welll, maybe you have "white coat syndrome". i had nooo clue what that meant so she went on to explain what it is. so then she suggested that i should be put on a 24 hour blood pressure monitor.. and i am going to go to the hospital in a week to be hooked up to it to determine if i have hypertension or if it is just anxiety... so pleeeease help me!!! should i be scared? does it hurt? and also i am worried about sleeping?! when i am asleep will i wake up every freakin time it goes off?! ahhhh!!! How long should I wait before wet sanding spray paint?

I'm painting side covers to my motorcycle and want to sand down the paint then apply a clear coat. I've put countless layers (20 maybe) of paint, really thin, like the first few didn't even cover the entire cover. I used Krylon Fushion Black Satin for the primer + base then used some generic brand for gloss black and now back to krylon clear coat. It's kinda rough so how long should I wait to wet sand it?

Help with painting my nails?

I have started to do my nails more often now and I have noticed that my right index finger always smears in the first few hours of having painted nails. I let the color dry then apply top coat. I make sure that my nails are totally dry before doing anything but still I'll look down at my nails and that one nail will always smear. Can I apply polyurethane over polycrylic?

I am doing a cornhole board set and have brushed on 7 coats of polycrylic. It is a little stickier than I would like it to be. I want the bags to slide more and I have heard polyurethane will do the trick. Can I apply the Polyurethane over my polycrylic or will that ruin the boards.

You went for a quick fix and didn't try to find out what was involved before you started. Painting a bike is a multi day project. You start out with completely dismantling your bike down to the frame and fork. You then sand down to smooth everything out. Painting is a multi step process, you have to apply primer first, several coats of colour, then a clear coat. There is no possible way to do this in a day, the paint has to dry between coats. If you want to ride your bike today, put it back together and ride it. If you want it to look good you have to take the time needed to paint it properly.

Should I continue to try and talk to this girl?

There's this girl that goes to my high school. We're both juniors, however we don't have any classes together. Throughout the year I would occasionally see her while walking in the hall. Nearly every time I saw her she would smile at me and make eye contact. I would smile back, although I really didn't think much of it at first, I just assumed she was being nice. After a while, I started liking her, and decided I wanted to at least get to know her better, and maybe go further. I've talked to her a few times, but it was just small talk, nothing really special. I think I might have been a little blunt about it; she seemed a little shocked at first. Then she smiled and said sure, "next time we meet I'll give you my number". A couple of days later I saw her walking in the hall after school. She smiled and I went up to her. I asked if this counted as next time we meet. At first she didn't know what I meant, but then exclaimed "oh!" in a few seconds. After that she asked me for my number, which she then wrote on her hand. She said she would text me later. I guess I was kinda dumbfounded that she asked for my number. I didn't know if that meant she didn't want me to have her number, or if that meant she wanted me to ask for it, or what. I ended up not asking for it (which was probably a mistake) and started talking about what classes she had or something stupid like that. I said I'll see you later and she replied yeah. Looking back on that I didn't make eye contact when I said bye and there was a slight tone of disappointment in her voice when she said yeah, although that might have been in my imagination. It's been two days and she hasn't texted me or anything, and I don't really expect her to. If she doesn't text me within the next few days I'm thinking either a: she's politely saying she's not interested, or b: she wanted me to do something first. Assuming she doesn't text by the next time I see her in the hall, what should I do? Should I talk to her? Should I bring up the fact she hasn't contacted me since we last met, or pretend like it's nothing? I'd like to get to know her better, but I'm really not sure if she's interested or I messed up.

I'm getting married next year. I've always wanted a wedding, but never felt the need for a bridal shower. I didn't think it was a big deal, so I called my mom, who lives a few states away, and mentioned that I wasn't interested in having a bridal shower. I thought she would be fine with it, but she exclaimed that her friends were already talking about having one for me (which I don't understand, I don't really know most of her friends) and that I should have one, etc. We ended the conversation without a decision. Then, this weekend, I saw my parents for a family event. I told my mom again that I didn't want a shower, and she now said I should have two, one thrown by her friends and another thrown by other friends and family. She said that it's about letting people that love me do something nice for me. I'm not really sure why I don't want a shower, I have no problem with gifts but I don't like being fussed over and I don't like this idea that my wedding is about pleasing other people. We had sex with a condom and it broke and came off, the next morning approximately 10 hours later, I took both plan B pills at the same time. I had absolutely no symptoms except for extreme fatigue...extreme as in I didnt even want to move an arm. The next day I looked at my calender and realized it was the exact day that I was ovulation and conception took place. I did a little bit of research online and alot of forums have people exclaiming that the pill will not work after the egg has reached the uterus.....I took it so soon after so does that make a difference if the egg had already reached my uterus? Is it most likely that the pill worked or not? This was only a week ago.

Just the caliper paint, and clean calipers and drums (or new drums, if they're close to needing changing anyway) for the best results, a primer won't work. I'd recommend paint rather than a spray can as it's far easier to get it exactly where you want it, and only where you want it. Paint them whatever colours you like, I don't see why what you're planning would look strange!

I'm making cufflinks for my friend so I've got plain cufflinks with a lip around the edge so I can press the fimo/modeling clay into the middle and then paint on it and such but the fimo has so go into the oven to set and there's no way I can set them on their own because it's way too thin and would crack or would be too fiddly to handle once baked. You've waited three, and it most likely needs to be re-written and editted. What should I do with my Akita pup?

I have 2 Akitas. 10 year old Male Akita, with a dominant personality and a 5 year old Female Akita with a very passive personality that was a champion in my country. I adopted the female Akita during her heat. I was told to wait for her to bleed and then separate her from the male. It turns out, that the same day I introduce her to my family, my 10 year old dog mated with her. Currently, I am have 5 pups that I am giving for adoption (I am not a backyard breeder, an I don't care to make money of the pups). I call the representatives of AKC in my country to help me find proper homes for the dogs. They are currently 3 month old, and the people at AKC had to see them before recommending them. When they saw them they went crazy. They almost told me I was stupid to not keep one of them. There are two pups that they told me to please let them show them in the following tournament, because they will surely win. I explained to them that I already have 2 Akitas, and a third dog would be mayhem. They told me that my old dog would not be a problem, because he is REALLY old and Akita develop strong personalities around 2 years old. The dog they want me to keep is a pup that has beautiful coat, that looks like a pajama, but kind of crazy personality (looks very dominant). The other dog is a girl that has a personality in between. The people told me that they would prefer to have two male dogs, one old and one really young. They would not advice me to have two young female dogs, that their fights are the worst. I really do not know what to do! What would you do?

What to wear at a rock concert?

I go to a lot of metal concerts such as Suicide Silence, White Chapel, Slayer, Korn, System of A Down etc... Personally don't wear anything you don't want to get ruined, don't take anything that can be easily stolen or ruined. I usually wear old cargo shorts an old short sleeve t-shirt and older shoes. It all depends on where you want to be too in contrast to the stage unless you are in seating, I am usually in the mosh pits. But if your in seating still follow my above advisory. There will be a lot of people there and it will be crammed full!!! It will also be loud and fun as hell!!! There is nothing wrong with what you want to wear though, just make sure it's not clothing you really like. Have a good time!

It seems like no matter how bad a person hurt me or caused me trouble, I always forgive - if they put the effort to be nice afterwards. I feel like what they did occured in the past..no point in dwelling on that. I'm always willing to fresh-start the friendship/amity over. Like, there would be times that I wanted to just (*#@&$ kill someone who was causing me such agitation and misery, but just a few days later when the person would be nice to me, I would forgive them without "working" for it. This is only for friendships; relationships, however, are a completely different story.

And also, after finding out his location have him go into a bit of shock, slowly grasp what just happened and if it fits the story have him panic (that's what I would do). Then later have him search around and look for others.

My parents won't let my dog come inside?

My parents won't let my dog come inside. She is outside all the time because she is not potty trained. She is a adult female and gets all the proper care and attention. She is played with CONSTANTLY and is often accompanied with the neighbors dogs as they get along great and love to play and chase each other. I have told them I know how to properly potty train a adult female. She is stubborn and when we tried before it did not work. She is kept warm in the winter, and gets her thick coat trimmed in the summer. In the winter we make sure her water does not freeze over and everything. Plus she has a nice shelter to go in under when she wants to nap, or get away from the weather. Is this okay? And if it is not any way for me to convince them to let her come in?

They're not patient enough :P i used to study Qur'an and learn Surahs by heart in classes at the Masjid..when i used to just chit chat instead of learning it i used to be sent to sit/stand against a wall (pillar) in the room and learn it - it actually worked quickly as well. These people need to be more patient, and need like a teacher to help them. I guess those words just 'accidentally' come out their mouth and they don't think before they say it.. so they need to be taught patience and manners ;)

Your concerns about your father are quite warranted, and I'm sure his issues have affected you quite a bit in your life. I think it would help you a fair amount more to figure out how he has affected you and how that will impact your own life, as opposed to wondering what contributed to your father's difficulties. As soon as you're mobile again, you might consider seeking the help of a psychologist that you can really connect with. That person could help you cope with anything that comes up between you and your father in the future as well. Hopefully things look up soon (and watch that Oxycodone, it pretty addictive ;) ) !

Is it ok to use my charger now?

Ok so a couple of weeks ago i began having trouble with my toshiba 120 watt ac adapter charger. I would have to position the prong a certain way in order for it to take a charge. and then smelled burning plastic. I took it up to geek squad and they i needed a new dc jack (charger port) and proably a new charger totalling up to almost 300 hundred dollars. i hadnt used my charger for 2 weeks and left i unplug and my computer completely off and today i decided to test it out again. I plugged in the charger and i didnt have to position it a certain way and ive been monitoring the coating around the prong to see if its getting extremely hot like it had been. i dont not smell the burning scent anymore and the charger is at best warm. Its normal and its charging. is this some technical fluke/miracle and im all set to use my charger or is it doing more damage?

Everyone applying to the top schools has the highest grades in the hardest classes and very high test scores, and they take maybe 10% of them. You need that, and you need a lot more. Joining a few generic clubs won't do anything for your resume; they're looking for great activities, things that make you stand out, experience in your intended major, research experience, publications, major awards, things like that. You do NOT need to attend a top school in order to be successful. They choose students who look likely to be successful; they don't make them successful. If you're going to succeed, you'll succeed at any college, and if you're not going to, an ivy won't change that.

Shedding on a flat-coated cockapoo?

I recently got a 12-week old flat-coated cockapoo from a cockapoo breeder (from whom I also got my other very low-shed curly cockapoo who is now 11-months old ). I understand breeders cannot guarantee their puppies' coats and temperaments. I also understand that a flat-coated cockapoo must have taken more traits from the shedding cocker spaniel side rather than the non-shed poodle side. But my new flat-coated cockapoo is shedding like crazy. A groomer told me (and the vet confirmed) that the dog might just be nervous or anxious because I just got her a week ago. Can anyone share with me their expert knowledge on why a dog in general (regardless of the breed) might be shedding? Do most shedding breeds shed more in the summer months? I plan to ask the vet for more possible causes of this shedding when we go back for the puppy's next scheduled vaccination shots. For now, I am using the Furminator daily on her to reduce the shedding and it does somehow help but the shedding continues anyhow. Any other 'treatments' you can recommend for my new pup? She is a very beautiful, sweet, gentle yet spunky, easily trainable little pup and I hate to just give her up simply on the basis of her coat-shedding. I do not 'judge' nor 'reject' people based on their physical characteristics and I do not want to do that to this puppy.

Got told by my boss that I created a hostile work environment?

I was sent to the accoutning office today by my manager Dedra Giles exclaiming that I had caused a hostile work environment for her and her management team because I had written a letter to the company stating how they had been treating me. In purposely giving me low scores and and pointing and talking negatively about me to coworkers and now she is saying that i make her feel like she cant even come around me. She said everything I had written to the company was a lie and that they werent going to do anything about it! Also I found out today that she has been telling coworkers that I have been leaving the restroom messy all the time! I really feel like I am being victimized in this situation and I need to know what it is that I have to do in order to make this stop!?!

I go to school with this guy, and since the beginning of the year, he's been "spooking" me. Listen, the honest truth is it doesn't matter how well you write now. All you need to do is keep reading and writing, then maybe when you're thirty five and actually have some life experience to draw from you can ask for the quality of writing. Here's the tip I found has actually improved my writing the most: hide it. Hide it somewhere you'll find it in six months or a year. Don't search it out. Don't think about where you might have put it. After all that time has passed, after having read another author, after having written other things, then you can read it as if it weren't your own, and hopefully you'll have a better understanding of what is wrong with that. (BTW a single kit in a litter isn't something to be proud of for a cat)

Fixing headset? will this work?

I have a turtle beach earforce x 11 headset for xbox360. The wires were cut clean in half near the actual headset, so If i cant fix it they are junk. If I strip the wires a bit, and then find each individual wireset (there are 4 wires (each surrounded in copper) in the black coating) and sauter them together individually, will they work? or should I do something like splice each one with a dual connector? the problem with that is the bundle would be HUGE compared to normal, but if it works is that a possibility? Why do women get mad at me when i do something nice?

This has actually happened quite a bit now, whenever i see that someone, man or women, needs help carrying something, or just in general, i try to help them. Will my bala shark be okay?

Hi. I have a bala shark that I've had for about 9 months. Well on Sunday I changed the decor and the gravel in my 56 gallon tank and put all of my fish into a big container. I would rinse some of the gravel and when I put it into the tank I would check the fish to make sure they were okay. When I came back to check on them(maybe 5 minutes or so) my poor bala was on the floor..I freaked out and my husband came and put him back into the water. He sat for a second then swam a bit but mostly just sat at the bottom of the container I'm sure out of shock. Within a day I noticed his eyes becoming white and hazy and his breathing had slowed down. I put melafix into the tank and added some extra salt to calm him and get his protective coating back. We got the hospital tank set up and ready for him and he's been in there swimming around like normal but now he seems to be resting. The poor guy has lost half of his back fins and he can't see which means he can't eat. I feel so bad for him he's already been through so much. He had hemmorogic septicemia and the other fish tore his fins up so bad he couldn't swim..but we fixed him right up and he had never been better. So I'm pretty upset that he has to go though this. Sorry I'm rambling on and on I just don't know what else to do for him...the water perimeters in both tanks are great and my other fish are doing fantastic. But my bala was one of my first fish. Can anyone tell me if he will be able to see again and how long it will take for his tail fins to grow back? If he will ever be able to eat again. Oh and also if there may have been brain damage..he was out of the water for probably about 5 minutes. Thank you so much in advance for any suggestions and please no mean comments I already feel pretty horrible as it is.

DOG BREEDERS. What should I do with my Akita pup if I already have two Akitas?

I have 2 Akitas. 10 year old Male Akita, with a dominant personality and a 5 year old Female Akita with a very passive personality that was a champion in my country. I adopted the female Akita during her heat. I was told to wait for her to bleed and then separate her from the male. It turns out, that the same day I introduce her to my family, my 10 year old dog mated with her. The breeder that gave the dog to me miscalculated, an I did not have time to spay her (something I will do next month). Currently, I have 5 pups that I am giving for adoption (I am not a backyard breeder, an I don't care to make money of the pups). I call the representatives of ACG (partners of AKC) in my country to help me find proper homes for the dogs. They are currently 3 month old, and the people at ACG had to see them before recommending them. When they saw them they went crazy. They almost told me I was stupid to not keep one of them. There are two pups that they told me to please let them show them in the following tournament, because they will surely win (the dog technician cannot show them, but he will hook me up with someone that does it). I explained to them that I already have 2 Akitas, and a third dog would be mayhem. They told me that my old dog would not be a problem, because he is REALLY old and Akita develop strong personalities around 2 years old. The dog they want me to keep is a pup that has beautiful coat, that looks like a pajama, but kind of crazy personality (looks very dominant). The other dog is a girl that has a very sweet personality. The people told me that they would prefer to have two male dogs, one old and one really young. They would not advice me to have two young female dogs, that their fights are the worst. I really do not know what to do! What should I do?

Liveaboard Houseboat Cost?

wow that's alot of questions,but i'll try to hit the high spots. i've lived on my 34' sport fish/express cruiser for 4 years with my girl friend and may not ever live in a house again, if that gives you any idea about the life style. it will be difficult for me to give you exact prices in your area, as i live on the gulf coast in alabama. fuel economy on boats is generally measured in gallons per hour. don't expect much more than 1 mile per gallon.also marina fuel is higher , even tho there is no road tax involved. i bring my fuel in, in 55 gal drums, but if your marina sells fuel(mine doesn't) don't expect them to be that nice. slip rent for liveaboards here averages about $10.00 per foot. i was lucky enough to find a nice marina that charges a flat fee of $250.00 per month. had to fight with the power company to get a residential rate, as they want to charge commercial rate for boats for some reason.power will be higher,boats aren't insulated that well. i have an 8,000 btu a/c with a 3,500 watt heater. a reverse cycle cruise air is more efficient. i pay up to $200.00 a month in the winter. there is NEVER enough space for all of your stuff. it may be difficult if you are a material person. if you aren't going to use something every month, you don't need it. i bought a storage building to keep some things in, but it's a pain at best. then there's haul out costs. you will need to haul the boat every few years to check/repaint the bottom and running gear.barnacles are not nice and will kill your speed/fuel economy. as far as pricing? i did a repower on an older 47' not long ago that cost $30,000.00 for the engines installed alone. a marine surveyor is worth his weight in gold to avoid getting ripped off. hope this helps. feel free to contact me through yahoo if you think i can help. good luck!

I agree with all the answerers. Even though you don't show the dog it will ruin his coat and take away his protection. If you feel he is overheating make sure you have an appropriate spot of shade at all hours to protect him from the sun, also make sure its not closed in so if its windy he can have a breeze. If he enjoys water I would buy a small plastic kiddie pool and fill it, he can climb in if he gets really hot and relax.

You've got potential here. I really like your vocabulary, and it flows well. The only critique I could give you is to make the dialogue sound a tad bit more natural. It's very good as it is, but some of it sounds a little too formal for a drunken/high person. I don't know how old they're supposed to be, but I get the impression that the older brother is around 17 and the younger brother is no older than 12; he seems sort of naive. If that was what you were going for, you did a good job.

How's the start of my novel?

It is a very good start. It is nice to hear a happy one for a change.The only thing I would say is you do not need to describe every little detail, it just confuses the reader. I liked the fact that you did not know all about the two characters but you have given away just the right annount of information. However try not too say so much about the eyes of the character. If you see somebody in real life, the eyes are not the most notable part of them. All in all very good, especially for your age!

What type of jacket would be best for me?

It doesn't really snow in December. It happens, but not often. The best advice is to wear layers (long sleeve shirts, thermal tops or sweaters) instead of relying solely on a big heavy coat. One of those North Face brand insulated jackets or coats work well in December. It does get windy, so if a cold breeze frightens you, make sure you bring a hat, scarf and gloves. Waterproof boots and thermal bottoms are probably overkill in December.

Sounds like he got scared and instead of telling you why he felt this way he attacked you, you both got defensive, and it got blown out of control. To be honest I would be a little bit upset about his answer and ask him just what he was doing with me in the first place, and what he wanted out of the relationship, etc. Sometimes people get a little nervous when talking about huge commitments like family, marriage, etc and they don't know how to communicate and they react the way he did, but I don't yet have a reason to think he really wanted to truly hurt you, though his reaction was a bit overblown/immature from what I can gather. You can always start the conversation again on a better foot by talking about how you felt when he told you these things and try to get him to open up a little more by asking him why he doesn't see a future with you. Once you get a few more answers you'll know then if you want different things and should move on or stay together.

Fur loss and discoloration in pug?

I have a 10 year old black pug and recently his fur has been turning a lighter hue and coming off in massive clumps. It's not his whole coat, just random patches throughout - mainly near his rear legs and collar. Re surface sheetrock?

Stripping old cork board off the wall is taking the top layer of the paper off the sheetrock. I will be putting more cork board on that area but think I should attempt to resurface/seal that sheetrock. Can I paint it with a couple coats of oil base primer and if so should I thin the primer for the first coat?

I LOVED the style of writing. It had kind of a Kelley Armstrong touch. However, I didn't like the second half of the story; I think it needed a bit more explanation and maybe more of a shocked response. Brilliant job on the first half though. I had a good laugh at "90's colon." And I enjoyed the description of the little details, like the boss's tie and the lip stick on your characters teeth. All in all, I'd give it an 8/10. Reseal sheet rock, can I should I?

Not a fan of oil based myself, I can't stand the smell. If the surface is pitted or uneven, you may need to "spackle" it to even it out. There are also specific products for sealing plaster/sheetrock if your area is large. It is highly absorbent, so will take quite a bit of paint to reseal.

How often should i bathe my kitten?

So I got my kitten about a week ago and after 3 days my mom and I decided to give him a bath since she was getting very bad allergies from him. HELP WITH BP MONITOR?

alright soo, i was at the doctors today and the nurse said my blood pressure was pretty high. & this is the second appointment that it has been higher than usual. i think it is probably because i totallly spazz out when i am at the doctors, but anyways... i explained that to my doctor and she didnt really seem too interested in what i was saying and said that i have to be sent to a doctor that specializes in blood pressure etc. so i was arguing with her that i know i dont have high blood pressure. so she said welll, maybe you have "white coat syndrome". i had nooo clue what that meant so she went on to explain what it is. so then she suggested that i should be put on a 24 hour blood pressure monitor.. and i am going to go to the hospital in a week to be hooked up to it to determine if i have hypertension or if it is just anxiety... so pleeeease help me!!! should i be scared? does it hurt? and also i am worried about sleeping?! when i am asleep will i wake up every freakin time it goes off?! ahhhh!!! I don't know who told you you couldn't wrap edges with formica, but you can. In fact you're supposed to finish a laminate job with the edges in the same material as the top. They sell pre-made edges already that you just apply with an iron or you can rip and glue your own formica strips to the edges then simply trim the excess with a router or zip saw for a nice smooth edge.

So I just had a blood test done because I've had symptoms such as cold sweats, white coating on tongue with bumps, headache, body aches and pains, nausea, swollen lymph node in neck, easy bruising, UTI....the results came back and they said all they tested for was normal except my mono test which said I've had mono in the past and my blood count was a little elevated meaning I have some sort of infection.... I'm just wondering if it's leukemia and they dont know cuz they didn't test for that or if I had leukemia would they have seen it while testing for other things?
