Metal cufflinks in the oven to set the fimo middle? Bad Idea or will it be okay?

I'm making cufflinks for my friend so I've got plain cufflinks with a lip around the edge so I can press the fimo/modeling clay into the middle and then paint on it and such but the fimo has so go into the oven to set and there's no way I can set them on their own because it's way too thin and would crack or would be too fiddly to handle once baked. So what i'm asking is, do you think the metal cufflinks would be harmed if they went into the oven? I'm pretty sure they're just a silver coated metal too, thanks, Cathy x
