Can you give me your opinion on my writing?

Have him become more self aware as he wakes up, and have the character look around then describe the setting as he sees it, in a confused fashion, being vague at first and then bring out the details as he absorbs what has just occurred. And also, after finding out his location have him go into a bit of shock, slowly grasp what just happened and if it fits the story have him panic (that's what I would do). Then later have him search around and look for others.
